I don't remember the rest of the dream, but somehow my was mother saying that I had to have a wash, by dipping a bowl in a barrel of water and pouring it over my head. When I asked if I should take my sweater off first, and dream character Mum said no, I thought, Wait, that doesn't make sense--
And I became lucid. We seemed to be in the courtyard of some run-down old mansion, out in the country air. The road and fields beyond the courtyard seemed blurry, even if I looked right at them, but the gardens of hibiscus bushes shone sharp in the noon sun.
I took to the air, not very high up but pretty fast retreating from the wash place... and I was lucid, but I don't think that I did that floating on purpose. We've got issues to work out with waking-life mom, so might as well work out our own subconscious attitude towards her first, so we can deal with the real person more clearly, I thought, and tried to swim back to the dream character, but the motion wouldn't give-- in the panic and excitement, I felt myself waking, and thought it was a shame that I couldn't even use this lucid dream to enter the Velvet Room...
Somehow, I came to standing in the Velvet Room instead. I mean, it was a padded blue room, carpeted and wallpapered in velvet, but...

1.) The first thing I saw was a tan-brown burlap sofa right in the middle. I'd say the contrast was nicely accentuated, except that this is not the Burlap Room.
2.) No Igor. No anybody, but it especially defeats the definition if there's no Igor.
3.) Not a very tall room, and I had to Will the light pattern into the scene to make it more like the elevator... and when the white light blinked through the floors we passed, I saw that the light wasn't filtered through ornamental elevator doors, but a metal accordion fence.
4.) Unlit fireplace, and what looked like a bookcase.
No Igor, that meant no seeing what Persona I had... no finding my personal character-symbols, no going all-in video game style and fusing them / wandering dungeons to see how well these Persona hold up in battle...
I think I should have manifested an Evokator or even just browsed the books, but somehow I felt my lucidity get really... er... sleepy. Or, more like, I felt too awake to stay in the LD another moment, and it was similar to feeling really sleepy.
Now that I think about it, it does sort of go that the Velvet Room details change with each game, so perhaps it depends on how the main character-- or any observer, really-- sees the place. Mine's not very elegant at all, but it's cozy and warm. I just wish there was more going on.
